About Candulor Premium Swiss Dentures
Candulor Premium Swiss dentures refine both the Clinical and Technical processes to an exacting standard for custom denture production and help to reduce common errors inherent in mass produced dentures.
It is important that both the clinical and technical traning is combined by trained dental practitioners to achieve the best results.

These processes encompass specialised techniques, materials and equipment available to trained practitioners.
We recommend you ask to see the Swiss Denture Concept certificate to ensure you are using a trained practitioner.

Does this look like a denture ?
Working directly with you personally.....

Uniquely, Clinical Dental Technicians bridge the gap in Swiss denture provision, carrying out both the Clinical and Technical processes in the Swiss Dentures Concept, working directly with you from start to finish - Many patients find this hugely beneficial in achieving the results they desire.

Peter became the first dental clinic in the Cambridge - Bedford area to offer swiss dentures, He has completed both Candulor Swiss Dentures Concept courses; part one, a 5 day course covering the technical construction, anatomical model analysis, including tooth positioning using a static laser, Gum colouring using the Candulor Aesthetic Colour system and final bite re-calibration.
Peter was also the first Clinical Dental Technician practice in the UK to host the second part of the Clinical Candulor Swiss Dentures training program, see enclosed slideshow below for details of the process.

Why are Candulor Swiss Dentures different ?
Candulor Swiss Denture trained clinicians purchase specialist equipment as part of their training program.
Swiss dentures also incorporate the latest next generation, Candulor Physiostar NFC composite teeth.
The concept uses natural anatomical reference points for tooth placement and denture design, the key to the Swiss Dentures concept is the exacting detail applied to the lower denture and it's tooth positioning in their most stable position.
A facebow recording also helps to replicate your jaws position on an special Candulor functional articulator or 'jaw movement simulator', this is necessary as no two peoples jaw positions are identical....

The Candulor Swiss dentures concept also records your standard centric, resting jaw position, this is the position your jaws would have been naturally when you had your own teeth.
This position is recorded precsiely using a 'gothic arch' tracing plate.....

Precision Swiss Denture production
The precise positioning of the lower teeth is paramount in achieving optimal chewing function and lower denture stability, the Candulor Static laser helps identify the ideal location for tooth positioning, see picture below:
This centric position provides improved accuracy for tooth setting as Swiss dentures also incorporate a 'pestle and mortar' biting configuration which provides improved chewing function, this helps stabilise lower dentures to a greater extent, as all biting forces are directed through this central position;

Candulor Swiss dentures increase your the biting force by approximately four times that of conventional mass produced dentures.
Candulor Swiss dentures also provide superior aesthetics, producing dentures that look amazingly natural.
Clinical Dental Technicians are also specifically trained in the use of the Candulor Aesthetic gum colouring acrylics as part of the Swiss Dentures concept ......

Individualised Swiss denture production
The personalised setting of the upper front teeth by your Clinical Dental Technician whilst the patient is at the clinic (see slideshow), according to anatomical principles will provide greater lip support and and an improved facial profile.
The shape and colour of teeth are selected according to your facial profile and skin tone, they can also be hand tinted for refined detail.

Who Could Benefit Most from Candulor Swiss Dentures ?
Long standing, experienced denture wearers are best suited to the Swiss dentures technique, and those who have particular difficulty with unstable or loose bottom dentures.
Swiss dentures can also be supported on dental implants.

More recently the increase in tooth whitening procedures by Dentists in the general population has helped provide denture wearers with opportunity to revamp their existing smile.
Patients now feel more confident adopting a brighter smile by replacing the darker coloured acrylic denture teeth, with the more vibrant and lighter coloured NHC composite teeth, used with Swiss dentures....

The added benefit of the 'pestle and mortar' or lingualised occlusion tooth concept helps improve chewing function for full denture wearers, beyond that of dentures made on a simple hinge type articulator or jaw movement simulator.
Quality next generation teeth included in Swiss Dentures
We incorporate Candulor Physiostar NHC teeth into all our Swiss dentures, providing an authentic Candulor Swiss Denture, these teeth provide exceptional natural aesthetics for Swiss denture wearers, the posterior teeth also have a range of specially shaped lingualised molars.
How long does it take to make Swiss Dentures ?
The number of appointments may vary depending on the technical difficulty and sophistication of your prostheses.
Usually 4 - 6 appointments are necessary and these appointments are followed up with a review appointment after placement of the Swiss dentures.
Candulor Swiss Denture Quality
In line with Medical Devices regulations patients are provided with a statement of manufacture and the Candulor Patient pass which lists the the materials used during manufacture, including batch numbers for future reference - as an added reassurance all our Swiss Dentures are manufactured in-house and never out-sourced.
We also provide ongoing after care and maintenance for your prostheses...
