Why Choose a Clinical Dental technician to make your next denture?
Clinical Dental Technicians are dual qualified dental professionals, first qualifying as Dental technicians, then completing a further 3 years training to become Clinical Dental Technicians.
Dentists do not make your dentures, they carry out the clinical aspect of your denture treatment and forward the moulds to a dental technician who constructs your dentures. Clinical dental Technicians perform both functions combining the artistry of a dental technician with the clinical components and detail necessary to design and create a functional, comfortable and cosmetically acceptable denture.
I have Dentist already can I still come to you for my new partial dentures?
Yes, that is entirely your choice and you have a number of options.
You can book an appointment with us directly, ask to be referred by your dentist or we can arrange a Dentist to provide you with a treatment plan if necessary.
For further advice see GDC guidance booklet on Dental Team Working.
Can I have my new NHS dentures made with you directly?
Presently there is no workable system whereby Clinical Dental Technicians working in their own clinics can ‘contract’ with local Primary Care Trusts, to provide NHS treatment.
This may change in the near future.
Can you Copy or Duplicate my existing Dentures?
Yes absolutely, that is another advantage of coming direct to a Clinical Dental Technician. We have all necessary duplicating equipment and materials onsite.
We can manufacture your new dentures so your friends and family don’t notice.
How quickly can you make my new dentures?
Using our eXpress service it is possible to have your dentures made in days.
I have a new denture made elsewhere that I am not happy with will you modify it?
No, unfortunately the success of any new denture begins at the consultation appointment and the finished article can be influenced by many factors.
What guarantees are there of the quality and safety of your denture products?
Burnside Dental Studio is a registered with MHRA as a custom made Medical Devices Manufacturer.
ALL dentures (and other custom made dental devices) have to conform to European Medical Devices Legislation from 2010 all dental practitioners supplying dentures and other dental devices must provide patients with a Statement of conformity for each device.
